Nagaland Nursing Council is dedicated to promote & safeguard the health of people in the society by regulating the nursing profession and providing highest standards of nursing education and practice in the state of Nagaland at all levels of health care.

 

MISSION

 

Health being the fundamental right of every individual, the Nagaland Nursing Council emphasizes on developing the nursing education and nursing services at a level so that the practicing nursing professionals are able to provide the scientific, compassionate and evidence based nursing care to the people of Nagaland at Primary, Secondary and tertiary level in all health care settings by participating in health care policies and decision making committees of the state.

OBJECTIVES:

 

The objectives of the Council are to;

  1. Prepare competent, compassionate and safe nursing professionals through excellent system of nursing education.
  2. Develop the standards for nursing practice in all the health care
  3. Monitor the standards of nursing practices for quality care to clients in the hospital, community and all other health care settings.
  4. Update knowledge, skills and attitudes of the Nurses/ANM/FHW and LHVs at the highest level through continuing nursing education on regular basis.
  5. Ensure that Nurses/ANM/FHW/LHVs uphold the professional standards & code of
  6. Protect and safeguard the Nurses/ANM/FHW, LHVs from unethical and legal issues related to nursing services provided to client in the hospital, community and all other
  7. Handle the grievances and appeals of aggrieved Nurses/ANM/FHW LHVs related to nursing services and education effectively.
  8. Carry on prompt registration of Nurses/Midwife/ANM/FHW& LHVs
  9. Conduct inspection and provide license to nursing (For New and existing).
